“I have a young son, 14 years old, who participated in archery this year at summer camp. He really enjoyed it and has shown a lot of interest. I would like to get him involved in some classes that offer the opportunity to continue to develop his interest in archery. What would you recommend as far as classes or a package that we could purchase and give him for Christmas? At this time, we do not own any equipment so it would be great if that could be rented at your facility as well until we can further gauge his interest.”
Archery 101 is the right start. Four class course that is held monthly and all equipment is included. Fee is $125.00 More Details
The program curriculum uses the Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) training and awards system, a nationally recognized archery program developed by USA Archery and the FITA Feathers Program. (a “black belt” style, self-paced, achievement program in archery) that is instructor directed. This introduces archery safety, shooting form, archery styles, equipment and scoring rules. The course is held over 4 sessions that are an hour long. Each session offers “show and tell” discussion for fundamental archery education. The majority of each class is just a lot of FUN shooting, but with structured drills and practice. Students learn a neutral style of archery that builds the basics of a solid shooting form. Easy to use equipment allows skill progress, without emphasis on strength or gender. Archery 201 & 301

By coach’s recommendation, a student participates in an annual training program with regular workouts, designed specifically to develop competitive youth archers. If you’ve decided that archery is your sport; then this is the program for you. The emphasis is total development of the archery athlete — shooting technique, shooting and mental skills, competition rules, tournament preparation, strength and cardiovascular training, equipment care, tuning and maintenance.
You work with the coach to complete a comprehensive evaluation, and then develop a master training plan based on your goals, availability, and commitment. You’ll be face-to-face with the coach three or more times each month, and between coaching sessions, you’ll follow a personalized schedule of training routines. This training requires a commitment of 1 to 2-plus hours per day, 3 or more days per week. For the Olympic hopeful and college scholarship applicant.
