Texas Archery Academy (TXAA) provides structured archery training programs statewide, for all ages and levels, through a network of convenient, safe practice facilities including our new TXAA State Archery Training Center in Plano, Texas. These programs build upon introductory archery experiences throughout the state (such as NASP, Outdoor Adventures, BSA, 4H). Our primary focus is continuing youth development and achievement in the sport of archery.
We provide opportunities for the public to explore archery! TXAA provides “Intro to Archery” classes and continuing curriculum; presents portable “Fun Shoot” archery ranges at public events; creates new community JOAD (Junior Olympic Archery Development) teams; trains certified instructors/coaches; offers the developing shooter a network of qualified instructors offering lessons; sponsors local archery clubs by attracting new members; and coordinates with archery organizations and municipalities to host additional competitions.

The growth of the state’s competitive archery population creates not only individual development benefits, and greater numbers of recreational shooters, but a feeder system to nurture archery prospects aspiring to reach the Olympics!
